- 1 loaf (1 lb.) French bread (20 inches)
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/3 c. chopped green onions
- 4 tsp. prepared mustard
- 5 slices process Swiss cheese
- 5 bacon strips
Directions

1Cut bread into 1-inch thick slices, leaving slices attached at the bottom.

2In a bowl, combine butter, onions and mustard; spread on both sides of each slice of bread.

3Cut each cheese slice diagonally into four triangles; place between the slices of bread.

4Cut bacon in half width-wise and then lengthwise; drape a piece over each slice.

5Place the loaf on a double thickness of heavy-duty foil.

6Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

7Yields 10 servings.
