- 3 lb. beef, cubed
- 1/2 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3 c. chopped onion
- 1 lb. carrots, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 c. beef stock or broth
- 1 1/2 tsp. fines herbes
- 1 (12 oz.) can beer
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Coat cubes of beef in flour.

2Heat oil in large pan.

3Add meat and brown.

4Add other ingredients.

5Bring to a boil.

6Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.

7Add water as necessary.
