- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 4 1/4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Combine yeast and 1 3/4 cups of flour.

2Combine water, sugar and salt and add to yeast mixture.

3Beat with electric mixer. Stir in remaining flour by hand.

4Turn on floured board and knead 5 to 8 minutes.

5Cut into 12 portions and shape into balls; put hole in the middle.

6Cover and let rise 20 minutes.

7Boil 1 gallon of water with 1 tablespoon of sugar.

8Simmer 7 minutes; drain. Place on baking sheet and bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes.
