  • 4 1/2 to 5 c. unsifted flour
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • water
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg white and 1 Tbsp. water

Directions

    Mix 1 1/2 cups flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon salt and yeast.

    Heat 1 1/2 cups water and margarine to 120° to 130°. Add to yeast mixture.

    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.

    Add 1/2 cup flour; beat at high speed 2 minutes.

    Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.
