- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 4 1/2 to 5 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Combine yeast and 1/2 cup warm water in measuring cup, stirring with a fork until dissolved.

2Combine 2 cups flour, salt and sugar in a bowl.

3Add dissolved yeast and remaining cup of warm water.

4Beat vigorously with a fork for two minutes. Gradually add enough of remaining flour, 1/4 cup at a time, to make a soft dough.

5Turn out of bowl; knead until smooth and elastic (about 8 to 10 minutes), adding a little flour.

6Place dough back in clean, greased bowl; put in a warm place until doubled in size.
