- 4 large red cooking apples
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 c. water
- cinnamon
Directions

1Prepare apples.

2Wash and core; peel 1/3 of the way down from the top.

3Place, stem side down, in a baking dish.

4Boil the granulated sugar and water for 10 minutes.

5Pour over the apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

6Bake in a 350° oven for about 45 minutes, until apples are tender when pierced with a fork.

7Remove from oven and sprinkle with brown sugar.

8Return to oven until sugar is melted.
