- 2 lb. beans
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1/4 lb. salt pork
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- scant tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
Directions

1Soak beans overnight; drain.

2Cover with cold water and parboil them until skins burst.

3Place salt pork and onion in bottom of pot.

4Add beans and other ingredients.

5Cover with water.

6Bake at 350° until bubbly, then at 325° for 5 hours.
