- 1 head cabbage (about 2 1/2 lb.)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 c. hot milk
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Butter a 12 x 8-inch shallow baking dish. Discard outer leaves from cabbage.

3Wash head and cut into 12 wedges.

4Put 1 cup water in large skillet. Bring to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon salt and the cabbage. Cook over medium heat, covered, 10 minutes. Drain well.

5Arrange cabbage in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with mixture of flour, sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and the pepper.

6Dot with butter.

7Pour hot milk over cabbage. Sprinkle with cheese.

8Bake, uncovered, 35 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
