Baked Cabbage Rolls

- 12 to 14 cabbage leaves
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
Directions

1Scald cabbage in salted hot water; drain well.

2Mix remaining ingredients and form 12 to 14 beef balls.

3Place in cabbage leaves; fold and roll up.

4Fasten with toothpicks.

5Place in buttered casserole dish.

6Pour 1 1/2 cups water over cabbage rolls and cover. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

7Remove cover; bake for 15 minutes, until golden brown.
