- 3 1/2 c. milk
- 5 eggs
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla, nutmeg or cinnamon (if you like)
Directions

1Heat milk until hot, but not boiling.

2Beat eggs in a large bowl.

3Add sugar and salt.

4Add milk slowly, stirring all the time. Mix in vanilla.

5Pour into baking pan.

6Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon if used.

7Bake at 300° (slow oven) for about 1 hour until knife stuck in the center comes out clean.

8Makes 8 servings of 2/3 cup each.
