- 1 country cured ham
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
Directions

1Scrub ham well.

2Soak overnight in water to cover.

3If large ham soak 3 to 4 days with water changed each day.

4Place ham in large pan that will allow cold water to cover ham.

5Add brown sugar and vinegar to water.

6Cover and simmer slowly 20 minutes to each pound of ham or until tender.

7Do not boil; keep at simmering.

8Let ham stand in stock several hours or overnight.

9Remove from liquid. Mix brown sugar and bread crumbs together and put on top of ham. Brown at 375° to 400° until crust forms over top.
