- 1 c. milk (cold)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. molasses
- 3 large Tbsp. cornmeal
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Scald 3 cups milk.

2Mix the egg, molasses, 1 cup cold milk and cornmeal into remaining ingredients. Add to the scalded milk and cook over hot water until thick.

3Pour into baking dish and bake in slow oven (approximately 325° to 350°) for 2 hours.

4Serve with cream or hard sauce.
