  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups tomatoes
  • 2 6-ounce cans tomato paste
  • 1 10 ounce package lasagna noodles
  • 2 12-ounce cartons large curd cream style cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 16 ounces sliced mozzarella cheese

    Brown meats slowly.

    Drain off grease. Add next 6 ingredients to meat.

    Simmer until thick, 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

    Cook noodles until tender. Drain. Rinse in cold water.

    For lasagna combine cottage cheese with next 5 ingredients.

    Place 1/2 of noodles.

    Add 1/2 mozzarella cheese and 1/2 meat mixture. Repeat layer.

    Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
