- 1 each onions minced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 teaspoons vegetable shortening
- 1 each tomatoes, canned 1 can
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 pound lasagna noodles
- 2 1/2 quarts water boiled
- 1/2 pound mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
Directions

1Saute onion, garlic, and meat in shortening about 20 minutes.

2Add next four ingredients.

4Simmer for 40 minutes.

5Cook noodles with 1 tablespoon salt for 20 minutes; drain.

6Put 13 meat mixture in baking dish.

7Add layer of noodles, add 1/2 cottage cheese, 13 Mozzarella, and 1/2 Cheddar.

8Repeat layers, ending with remaining meat mixture and top with remaining 13 Mozzarella cheese.
