  • 8 oz. mostaccioli noodles, cooked
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. crushed basil
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 8 oz. pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

    Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic; drain.

    Add undrained tomatoes, sauce, paste, undrained mushrooms, water and all spices.

    Bring to a boil; reduce heat.

    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

    Remove bay leaf and add cooked noodles.
