- 2 lbs small onion, peeled (or cut large ones)
- 1 cup light cream
- 14 cup sherry wine
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 12 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions

1Cook onion in boiling, salted water until just tender.

2Drain and arrange in shallow 1-1/2 quart baking dish.

3Combine cream, sherry, salt and pepper.

4Pour over onions; dot with butter and sprinkle with cheese.

5Cover and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes.
