  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 12 cup white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 8 slices bread, cubed

    Drain pineapple, reserving juice.

    Combine sugars, 4 tablespoons butter, and pineapple juice in a sauce pan, heat bring to a boil.

    Mix cornstarch with 1/3 cup pineapple juice and stir into the sauce.

    Melt remaining butter in a skillet and toss with bread cubes until lightly toasted.
