Baked Scallops

- 2 lb. scallops
- 24 mushrooms, sliced
- 2 shallots, chopped
- 2 c. white wine
- 2 c. bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. dry grated cheese (Romano or Parmesan)
Directions

1Wash and pat dry scallops; simmer in wine 5 minutes.

2Drain and save liquid.

3Add mushrooms and shallots; simmer 20 minutes. In shallow baking dish, place scallops; pour mushroom mixture over and top with bread crumbs.

4When ready to serve, place pat of butter on top and broil until crisp.
