- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 can tomato paste
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. grated medium or mild Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Cook spaghetti in 2 quarts of salted water until tender. Brown the meat, onions and green pepper.

2Stir in the water, tomato paste and sugar.

3Stir well and simmer slowly for 30 minutes.

4Drain spaghetti and put into a deep casserole.

5Pour sauce over all well and sprinkle top with cheese.

6Bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes.
