Baked Spaghetti

- 16 ounces, weight Spaghetti
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 whole Large Onion, Diced
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 2 cloves Garlic, Chopped
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 25 ounces, fluid Pasta Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Sugar
- 15 ounces, weight Low Fat Ricotta Cheese
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cups Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

2Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water for 8 minutes then drain and set aside.

3While spaghetti is cooking, heat a large pan over medium high heat.

4Add about 12 tablespoons of olive oil and saute onions until translucent.

5Add ground beef, garlic, garlic salt, onion powder and pepper.

6Brown meat until thoroughly cooked.

7Once meat is done, turn off stove and the drain fat from the pan.

8Turn heat back to medium high and add pasta sauce, salt and sugar.

9Simmer for about 5 minutes.

10Season to taste with salt and pepper.

11Remember though, the cheese will add another layer of saltiness as well.

12Spray the bottom and sides of a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.

13Ladle sauce into the bottom of the pan, just enough to cover the bottom of the baking dish.

14Add half of the cooked spaghetti to the dish.

15Top spaghetti with half of the pasta sauce.

16Using half of the ricotta, place spoonfuls of the ricotta on top of the pasta sauce.

17Then top with 1 cup of mozzarella and 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese.

18Repeat with spaghetti, pasta sauce and cheeses.

19Cover pan with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

20Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes or until cheese has melted.

21Remove from oven and let sit for at least 5 minutes.

22Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
