Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 c. green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 small can ripe olives, sliced
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 lb. hamburger (optional)
  • 12 oz. spaghetti (cooked)
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

    In a large skillet saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender.

    Add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and oregano, add hamburger. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.

    Put 1/2 of the spaghetti in a greased 9 X 13 pan. Top with 1/2 vegetable mixture, sprinkle with 4 oz. cheese, repeat layers. Mix the soup and water until smooth, pour over casserole. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes at 350°.
