  • 1 (1 to 2-inch) sirloin steak or deer
  • flour (to dredge steak in)
  • fat (to brown steak in)
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 can mushroom soup

    Cut steak into serving pieces; dredge in flour.

    Brown in hot fat and place in large casserole.

    Season.

    Combine remaining ingredients in skillet drippings.

    Bring to a boil for several minutes; pour over steak.

    Place on lower rack of oven at 325° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until steak is tender.
