- 2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450F (230C) (230 degrees C).

2Lightly grease a baking sheet.

3In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.

4Cut in the shortening until the mixture has only pea sized lumps.

5Add milk and mix until dry mixture is absorbed.

6Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.

7Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown.
