- 2 lb. sweet butter, clarified
- 2 lb. walnuts, chopped (not ground)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Butter a 12 x 17 x 1-inch baking pan. Butter 8 to 10 sheets of phyllo for bottom crust.

2Sprinkle nuts (combined with sugar and cinnamon).

3Sprinkle nuts on every sheet or every two sheets. Top with 8 sheets. Refrigerate.

4Cut into diamonds. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes. (After 40 minutes, lower oven to 325° for remaining 20 minutes.)

5Pour cooled syrup over hot Baklava.
