  • 12 cup vegetable oil
  • 8 cups whole dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 14 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon hot red pepper flakes
  • 14 cup sugar

Directions

    Heat oil in large skillet.

    Add the peanuts and 1 cup sugar.

    Cook over medium heat, constantly stirring until nuts are golden brown and sugar has carmelized - about3-4 minutes.

    Remove nuts to a large bowl.

    Add cumin and pepper flakes.

    Toss to distribute seasonings.

    Let cool,then toss with remaining sugar.

    Serve immediately, or let cool and store tightly covered.
