- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. sour milk (add 1 tsp. vinegar to 1/4 c. milk)
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 bananas, crushed
- 1/3 c. walnuts (optional)
Directions

1Blend ingredients in bowl.

2Place in greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes at 350°.

3Top will crack. Take from oven and let cool about 10 minutes, then turn out on rack.
