  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. bananas
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • chocolate chips (optional)

Directions

    Cream shortening or oleo, brown sugar and white sugar together.

    Add eggs, then flour, baking powder, baking soda, buttermilk and bananas.

    Add nuts and vanilla.

    (If chocolate chips are desired, mix into batter by hand.) Bake in large pan at 350°.

    Cool and ice.
