- 1 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. ripe bananas
Directions

1Sift flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda together. Beat shortening until fluffy.

2Add eggs; beat well.

3Add flour-nut mixture with mashed bananas, small amount at a time; beat well. Turn into greased pan and bake in medium oven, at 350° for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until done.

4Makes 1 loaf.

5Bake at 325° for a glass pan.
