  • 2-1/4 c. cake flour
  • 1 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1-1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1-1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 2/3 c. buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1-1/4 c. mashed bananas (ripe)
  • 2/3 c. nuts, chopped

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°. Grease either a bundt pan, 2 loaf pans, or (2) 9-inch round pans. Measure and beat sugar and shortening; add eggs and beat well. Stir in bananas. Alternately adding dry ingredients with milk. Beat 3 minutes. Bake layers 35 to 45 minutes, bake bundt pan for 45 minutes.
