Banana Pudding

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • bananas
  • 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs, separated (at room temperature)
  • 1 box vanilla wafers

Directions

    Combine 1/2 cup of sugar, flour and salt in top of double boiler.

    Stir in 4 egg yolks and milk; blend well.

    Cook, uncovered, over boiling water, stirring constantly until thick. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.

    Place a layer of vanilla wafers in bottom of baking dish.

    Add layer of bananas and cream or keep alternating layers, finishing with pudding mixture.
