Banana Split Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 2 c. ground graham crackers or vanilla wafers
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 sticks soft butter
  • 5 bananas, sliced
  • 1 (No. 2) crushed pineapple, drained
  • large container Cool Whip
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 c. chopped cherries (optional)

Directions

    Combine melted butter and graham cracker crumbs in a 9 x 13-inch pan; press.

    Beat together eggs, 2 sticks soft butter and powdered sugar for 15 minutes.

    Pour mixture in pan on top of graham crackers.

    Slice bananas and later in pan.

    Cover with pineapple, completely to prevent browning of bananas.

    Spread Cool Whip over pineapple.

    Top with chopped nuts and cherries. Make the day before and chill in refrigerator.
