Banana Split Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 to 5 bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
  • 2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • maraschino cherries
  • strawberries when in season

Directions

    Mix 11/2 sticks margarine with graham cracker crumbs.

    Bake about 5 minutes in 350° oven in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased pan. Beat eggs, remaining margarine and confectioners sugar about 15 minutes.

    Spread over cooled crust.

    Add pineapple in even layer over sugar mixture.

    Slice bananas over pineapple.

    Spoon on Cool Whip.

    Cover with nuts and cherries.

    If using sliced strawberries, omit cherries.

    Refrigerate at least 5 hours or overnight.
