Ingredients
- roast (rump or boneless sirloin)
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. peppercorns
- 1 tsp. cumin (more if desired)
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder (mild or hot)
- 3 to 4 bay leaves
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. water
Directions

1Turn on crock-pot and place meat in.

2Make slices in meat and put cloves of garlic in.

3Sprinkle meat with cumin and chili powder.

4Place bay leaves on top.

5Add water and sprinkle with salt.

6Cook on high for 8 hours or low all day.

7When meat is done and very tender, remove from pot and cool.

8Shred beef with fingers and place back in crock-pot, along with the juices that are already in there.

9Salt to taste.

10Serve with flour or corn tortillas, salsa (pico de gaio), shredded lettuce and tomatoes.
