- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 (15 oz.) cans black beans, drained
- 2 (15 to 19 oz.) cans red kidney beans
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen fordhook lima beans
- 1 c. bottled hickory smoked or mesquite barbecue sauce
Directions

1In a 4-quart saucepan, heat chopped onion and 1/2 cup water to boiling.

2Reduce heat to low and simmer until onion is tender. Add rest of ingredients.

3Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Partially cover saucepan.

4Simmer 20 minutes.

5Stir occasionally. Makes 10 servings.
