  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans black beans, drained
  • 2 (15 to 19 oz.) cans red kidney beans
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen fordhook lima beans
  • 1 c. bottled hickory smoked or mesquite barbecue sauce

Directions

    In a 4-quart saucepan, heat chopped onion and 1/2 cup water to boiling.

    Reduce heat to low and simmer until onion is tender. Add rest of ingredients.

    Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Partially cover saucepan.

    Simmer 20 minutes.

    Stir occasionally. Makes 10 servings.
