  • 2 broiler-fryer halves
  • 3/4 c. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. liquid red pepper seasoning
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste

Directions

    Mix together and heat until blended the barbecue sauce or the mixture of lemon juice, vegetable oil, water, sugar, salt, liquid red pepper seasoning and Worcestershire sauce.

    Brush chicken with sauce.

    Place chicken on grill, bone side down.

    Grill over medium setting 45 to 60 minutes, turning every 15 minutes.

    Wait until last 10 minutes to baste with sauce. Makes 4 to 8 servings. Excellent for gas grill and outside cooking.
