Ingredients

  • 3 lb. breasts and wings, cut up
  • 1/4 c. salad oil
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard

Directions

    Place meat in oil with onions and celery.

    Cook slowly until light brown; drain off oil.

    While meat is browning, heat rest of ingredients, stirring and simmer for 10 minutes.

    Place in a 13 x 9-inch pan or dish.

    Bake at 325° for 1 1/4 hours, uncovered. Baste every 20 minutes.

    Pour sauce over chicken.

    Bake.
