  • 1 frying size chicken, cut up
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 c. catsup

Directions

    Coat chicken with 3/4 cup flour mixed with 2 teaspoons salt and brown sugar in 1/2 cup shortening.

    As pieces are browned, arrange in casserole, saute onion in oleo until clear, add all ingredients and bring to a boil.

    Pour over chicken in casserole, cover and bake at 350° about 1 hour or until tender.
