Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. catsup

Directions

    Use a three or four pound boneless sirloin or rump roast. Boil on stove top until very tender.

    Cool and break up into small pieces.

    Take out all fatty pieces.

    Add enough catsup to moisten well and reheat.

    Serve on sandwich buns.
