Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 c. sliced green onions
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Directions

    Measure flour by spooning into measuring cup and leveling. Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and pepper. Combine egg, milk, barbecue sauce, mustard, green onions and oil. Add to dry ingredients all at once.

    Stir only until flour is moistened.

    Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.

    Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

    Makes 12 muffins.
