- 7 lb. beef or pork ribs
- garlic salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco or oil
- 1 large sliced or chopped onion
- 3/4 c. cider vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- several whole peppercorns
- barbecue sauce
Directions

1Trim excess fat from approximately 7 pounds of beef or pork ribs; sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper to taste.

2Add Crisco or oil to large pot and brown ribs.

3Add enough water to cover meat and onion, vinegar, salt and whole peppercorns.

4Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 1 hour.

5Drain water and place ribs on hot outdoor grill.

6Baste with barbecue sauce and cook until desired crispiness.
