Barbecue Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 whole onion, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 3 green peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, slices
  • 3/4 c. commerical barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • just cooked rice (serving for 4)

Directions

    Saute onions, celery, green peppers and mushrooms until soft. Throw the still-moist rice into the saute mixture and brown until golden.

    Prepare a sauce using bottled barbecue sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and Tabasco sauce.

    (These measurements can be played with according to individual taste!) Pour over rice mixture and mix until heated.

    Serve!
