Ingredients

  • select jumbo shrimp (headless and deveined but not peeled), 1 to 1 1/2 lb. per person
  • butter, melted
  • 2 onions, coarsely chopped
  • 10 to 12 toes fresh garlic, crushed
  • liberal dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • liberal dashes Tabasco sauce
  • 4 to 6 lemons, sliced and seeded
  • salt to taste
  • liberal application of black pepper
  • 4 to 6 dashes paprika
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1/2 c. white wine

    Layer shrimp in large baking pan.

    Add sufficient butter to cover.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Bake at 375° for 15 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until shrimp turn pink.

    Place shrimp under broiler for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until exposed shrimp start to turn brown.

    Serve shrimp and sauce in bowl with garlic bread for dunking.
