Ingredients

  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 4 lb. round steak, cut into 1/2-inch strips

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except round steak, in a saucepan; bring to a boil.

    Simmer gently for 5 minutes.

    Pound steak (break tissues).

    Cut into serving pieces.

    Put in a large pan.

    Pour barbecued sauce over meat.

    Cover tightly and bake at 325° for 2 hours or until fork-tender.
