  • 1/2 c. pearl barley
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can peas, drained
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can tomato rice soup (no water)

Directions

    Soak barley covered by water 8 hours.

    Cook barley 3/4 hour or until tender.

    Brown ground beef and onion.

    Mix all ingredients in a 2-quart casserole.

    Cover.

    Bake at 375° for 1 hour.
