- 2 c. Martha White self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Mix shortening into flour until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.

3Add milk and stir until mixture leaves sides of bowl.

4Knead dough until smooth on floured surface.

5Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness.

6Cut with floured 2-inch cutter. Place biscuits lightly touching.

7Place on baking sheet.

8Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

9Makes 12 to 14 biscuits.
