Ingredients
- 4 c. bread cubes, lightly packed into cup (4 to 5 slices)
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Spread bread cubes evenly in 8-inch round dish.

2Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar, nutmeg, salt, then raisins.

3Measure milk into 1-quart measuring cup.

4Add butter.

5Microwave at High for 4 minutes, until butter is melted and milk is warm.

6Rapidly stir in eggs with a fork and mix well.

7Pour over bread cubes in dish. Microwave a Medium-high for 9 to 12 minutes.

8When cooked, center may still be slightly soft but it will set up as pudding cools. Serve warm or chilled.
