Basic Bread Pudding(Microwave)

- 4 c. bread cubes (4 to 5 slices)
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Measure milk into 1 quart measuring cup.

2Add butter. Microwave at High 4 minutes until butter is melted and milk is warm.

3Rapidly stir in eggs with a fork and mix well.

4Pour over bread cubes in dish.

5Microwave at Medium 9 to 12 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 turn after 6 minutes.

6When cooked, center may still be slightly soft but it will set up as pudding cools.

7Serve warm or chilled.

8Makes about 6 servings.
