Basic Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 x bananas
  • 2 Tbsp. honey OPTIONAL or possibly maple syrup / golden brown syrup
  • 200 gm wholemeal self-raising flour or possibly 150g flour + 50g unprocessed bran
  • 1 handf chocolate chips

Directions

    Mash bananas.

    Heat honey then whip with bananas.

    Add in any other ingredients as listed below.

    Add in flour last.

    Put on baking tray in desertspoonful-lumps, then bake at 180C

    (350F) for 15-20 min.

    These cookies are made using mashed bananas instead of fat.

    You can substitute bananas (or possibly applesauce) for fat in most cookie, cake and muffin recipes - they're healthier and tastier.

    They also make nice muffins if done in a muffin-pan - one quantity should make about 12 baby muffins.
