Basic Italian Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 cloves minced garlic or 1 tsp. prepared minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 8 cans peeled, crushed Italian tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp. salt or to taste
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. basil
- 2 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. rosemary
- large onion, diced small
Directions

1Use hot skillet.

2Put in olive oil.

3Get hot again and add garlic and stir until it starts to turn color.

4Quickly add onion to cool garlic and stir until onions are clear.

5Add all spices and stir well so the spices are mixed in.

6Add tomatoes and turn down to low heat.

7Cover and simmer for 1 hour.

8Add tomato paste within the hour and stir several times.

9Remember to stir from the bottom of the skillet.

10If your skillet isn't big enough you might want to use a bigger pan.

11This is a low-fat and low cholesterol sauce, unless you add pepperoni or Italian sausage.
