Basic Pizza Dough Ii Recipe

- 1 1/4 c. lukewarm water divided
- 1 Tbsp. yeast
- 3 c. flour plus extra for kneading dough
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Directions

1Mix yeast and 1/4 c. lukewarm water in a small bowl.

2Let it sit for 5 - 10 min.

3The yeast will dissolve and become foamy.

4Put the flour, salt, sugar, Parmesan cheese and garlic pwdr into the bowl of a food processor.

5Press the pulse button a few times to mix everything together.

6Mix the dissolved yeast mix with remaining 1 c. lukewarm water.

7Turn the food processor on.

8Pour the water and yeast into the food processor through the hole in the top.

9Let the machine run till the dough makes a ball.

10If the dough is too sticky to make a ball, add in a little more flour, 1 Tbsp.

11at a time, till it forms a ball.

12Take the dough out of the processor and knead on a floured countertop till the dough is very smooth.

13Pour one Tbsp.

14of extra virgin olive oil into a medium bowl and swirl it around till the bowl is coated.

15Place dough ball into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap.

16Place in a hot, draft-free place.

17The dough should rise (grow) till it is twice as big as when you put it in the bowl.

18This should take about 1 hour.

19Remove the plastic wrap from the bowl.

20Using your fist, press all the air out of the dough.

21The dough is now ready to roll out and prepare according to the pizza recipe directions.

22(Note: You can wrap your dough in plastic wrap and keep it in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hrs before making pizza.)

23This recipe yields dough for 2 medium pizza crusts.
